Preparing your model correctly before uploading ensures a smooth conversion to .urta format and reduces chances of errors or visual issues.

Here are key tips for getting the best results on :

πŸ”Ή File Format

Only .glb and .gltf formats are supported at this time. Use a tool like Blender to export or convert other formats (e.g., .fbx, .obj) to .glb.

πŸ”Ή File Size & Complexity

  • Keep files under 100MB when possible

  • Limit polygon count to improve load time and viewer performance

  • Bake animations and transforms into the model before export

  • Avoid large texture atlases unless necessary

πŸ”Ή Naming & Organization

  • Use descriptive filenames (e.g., futuristic_chair_v2.glb)

  • Avoid spaces or special characters (#, %, &) in filenames

  • Include versioning (_v1, _final, etc.) if you'll be managing multiple uploads

πŸ”Ή Texture & Material Best Practices

  • Use embedded textures in .glb files

  • Stick to PBR workflows when possible (Base Color, Metallic, Roughness)

  • Keep image dimensions power-of-two (e.g., 512x512, 1024x1024)

  • Ensure texture names don’t conflict

πŸ”Ή Scene Setup Tips

  • Align your model's forward axis to +Z and up axis to +Y

  • Scale your model so it loads at a natural real-world size

  • Reset transforms and apply scale/rotation before export

  • Center the model's pivot point if possible
